EzID is a mobile application for creating ID photos that comply with Belgian standards. Protecting your personal data is our priority. This policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.
1. Photos and Camera
The application uses your device's camera to capture ID photos. All image processing (background removal, face detection, cropping, compliance verification) is performed entirely on your device.
No photos are sent to an external server or stored outside your device.
2. Data Collected
The application does not collect any photographic or biometric data. However, the following third-party services may collect limited data:
- Analytics (PostHog) — We collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the application. No personally identifiable data is collected.
- In-App Purchases (RevenueCat) — To manage in-app purchases, RevenueCat processes an anonymous identifier linked to your Google Play or Apple account. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Error Reporting (Sentry) — In the event of a crash or error, anonymized technical data (device type, OS version, error trace) is sent to help us fix issues. No photos or personal data are included.
3. Permissions
- Camera — Used solely to capture your ID photo. Images remain on your device.
- Internet — Required for in-app purchases, error reporting, and analytics. No photos are transmitted.
4. Data Storage
Generated photos are saved locally on your device. You can delete them at any time through your file manager or by uninstalling the application.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties, except as described above (analytics, purchases, error reporting).
6. GDPR Rights
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- Right to access your data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure
- Right to data portability
Since the application does not store any personal data on our servers, these rights are exercised directly on your device.
