GDPR & Account Deletion

Welcome to the account deletion page for the EzID application, developed by B.Clean. This page explains how to request account deletion, what data is removed, what is retained, and your rights under the GDPR.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request the deletion of your EzID account, follow these steps:
- Open the EzID app on your device
- Go to the Settings menu (gear icon)
- Select Account & Privacy
- Tap Delete My Account
- Confirm your request by entering your password
- Validate the deletion
You will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account once the request has been processed.

Please include in your email:
- The email address associated with your account
- Your explicit request for account deletion
Data Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is immediately removed from our servers:
- Account information — email address, username, hashed password
- Profile information — first name, last name (if provided)
- Authentication data — session tokens, Google/Apple sign-in data
- Purchase history — subscription and in-app purchase information
- Analytics data — usage data collected via PostHog
Data Retained
Certain data may be retained in accordance with our legal obligations and our privacy policy:
- Security logs — security logs and error logs (via Sentry) retained for 30 days for diagnostic and security purposes
- Financial data — purchase transactions retained in accordance with legal accounting and tax requirements (typically 7 years)
- Legally required data — certain data may be retained if required by law (e.g., to comply with a legal obligation, a court order, or to prevent fraud)
Processing Timelines
Important Notice
Account deletion is irreversible. Once your account is deleted:
- You will no longer be able to access your purchase history
- You will no longer benefit from your active subscriptions
- You will need to create a new account to use the application again
- Your personal photos stored locally on your device will not be affected by this deletion (they are stored solely on your device in accordance with our privacy commitment)
Your GDPR Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure — You can request deletion of your personal data, as described above
- Right to data portability — You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to restriction — You can request that we limit how we process your data
- Right to object — You can object to certain types of data processing
